Help local musicians with a trip to the store Tuesday.
HAAM Benefit Day is being held at locations across the city. Every year, participating stores and restaurants donate money to the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians. The group helps local musicians with health care costs.
The organization currently helps 2,000 musicians, but organizers say they know there are 8,000 musicians in Austin. Last year, organizers raised $235,000. They hope to surpass that goal this year.
YNN’s Bonnie Gonzalez spoke with one musician who’s received help from the organization in the video above.
