If you’re headed to the airport Monday, officials with Austin-Bergstrom International Airport suggest arriving two hours before the flight.
The combination of race fans from around the world heading back home and holiday travel are causing delays at the airport.
ABIA has added a fourth security checkpoint to help move people through faster, but they say it could still take an hour to get through security.
Many fans headed home from the race say, even with the wait, they enjoyed their time at the track.
Long lines are expected to be long all week. As always, head over to ABIA.org to check a flight’s status.
