Family members are begging friends of a 13-year-old girl to speak up if they know anything about her death.

A candlelight memorial was held last night for 13-year-old Sophia Nicole Martinez. The young teen was found unresponsive at a home in southeast Austin Tuesday and was pronounced dead shortly after at an area hospital.

Sophia's family and close friends held the vigil Wednesday evening at the residence where she was found.

Now, her family hopes someone can shed light on what led to her death.

"Really I hope that whoever was with her will come forward and say exactly what happened because we still don't know that yet,” family friend Sylvia Vasquez said. “Also hoping that it will make a lot of these kids realize what they're really doing and who they're hurting."

An autopsy has been ordered to determine how Sophia died. Police are investigating it as a suspicious death.
