The 2013 Ford Escape received a major makeover compared to the outgoing Escape, the new one has a longer wheelbase and is slightly wider. The results provide more room inside, and slightly shorter height contributes to the sleeker look outside. Other interior changes include higher-quality materials, a second-row seat that's much easier to fold down, a "hands-free" power lift gate and the addition of the MyFord Touch electronics interface.

Some of the features include:
•SYNC System
•Side/Curtain Airbags
•Torque Vectoring and Curve Control giving you better handling to the road by assisting drivers.
•Cross Traffic Alert System
•Front and Rear Park Assist
•Self-Parking

My test drive of the all-new Ford Escape proved it is a smarter utility vehicle with an enjoyable ride, quick response and delivers a vastly improved driving experience.

The 2013 Escape more fuel-efficient engines, plenty of technology and some amazing new features. It’s even able to maintain many of the more truck-like features, keeping a 3,500-lb tow rating (on the larger engine), while delivering more passenger and cargo room.

Competes with:
•Honda CR-V
•Mazda CX-5
•KIA Sportage
•Subaru Forester

Likes:
•Good performance and fuel efficiency
•Heaps of high-tech features
•Tight handling
•Quality interior materials
•Comfortable seating

Dislikes:
•No hybrid model available
•Interior storage space

The 2013 Ford Escape is a leader in the segment of small crossover utility vehicles due to its athletic driving dynamics, comfortable interior and plenty of useful high-tech features.
