Part of moving to a new state is getting new license plates, but how do you put them on?
If you received stamped metal plates, the job is easy. Just loosen the screws, pop off the old plate, and replace it with the new one.
The front plate may be a bigger challenge. Some out-of-state cars don’t come with a front bumper that's ready for a license plate, and just displaying the new plate on your dashboard is illegal.
You can remedy the problem by purchasing a universal license plate mounting kit. Use the kit to drill into the existing bumper. Check the video above for step-by-step instructions.
