With Hurricane Sandy and severe weather devastating the northeast, it’s an opportune time to make sure your family is prepared should natural disaster come to Central Texas.

Packing a simple backpack full of supplies you may already have in your house is a good start.

While water is always a necessity, pack juice or chocolate milk if you know that is what your child is more likely to drink. Also, pack books and toys to keep the little ones entertained.
