St. David’s Medical Center recently celebrated its one year anniversary of its partnership with Texas Cord Blood Bank.
Blood is collected after childbirth to be entered in a national database for patients who may need it.
Private banks can cost thousands of dollars, but public donations are free of charge. The blood donations end up saving the lives of babies across the world.
