One football team in Kyle will soon be high school football rivals.

The Kyle Invaders currently play in the Central Texas Youth League, but come high school, they will be split up and play for rival teams.

"A lot of the kids that are on our team are actually from Buda so they'll definitely go to Hays, but the majority will go to Lehman," Moises Sanchez with the Kyle Invaders said.

Whether they cheer for the Lehman Lobos or the Hays Rebels on Friday nights, they have a common goal during the week.

"We work them pretty hard during the week in practice and we want to show them that football is fun,” Sanchez said.
