The penultimate high school preview focuses on a team that has been the picture of consistency. The McCallum Knights are out for their 12th-straight trip to the playoffs this season. That would extend the AISD record they already hold.
Jason Cecil's team was perfect in district play last season and returns half of its starters. Longtime quarterback Griffin Stuesser is gone, so that is a position to keep an eye on, but whomever is throwing the ball, he will have one of the best playmakers in the area to get it to in Willie Mays. It is another year, but the expectations remain the same at McCallum.
The Knights open up the 2013 season as always against rival Anderson in the Taco Shack Bowl from House Park Thursday night.
