Marshall is the type of kid who keeps you on your toes and laughing nonstop. We met up with him on a recent day at Austin Parks.
The 15-year-old has some out-of-this-world plans, like visiting Mars to see if there's any life out there.
But before traveling to outer space, Marshall plans to help people on this planet. He says he wants to be a SWAT officer.
“I want to protect people,” he said.
Marshall has been on the go since he was a little boy, bouncing from home to home through foster care. He’s forgotten what it feels like to have a stable home and family.
“I haven’t had one in a very long time,” he said.
Though he’s almost 16 – the age that many kids dream about driver’s licenses and first cars – Marshall has a different dream: a forever family.
“I want to know how it feels to have parents, and what a family’s like,” he said.
Marshall says he’d love to have siblings, either older or younger. He just wants to be in a place with people who will care about him forever.
