The FM 685 bridge in Hutto near Brushy Creek has re-opened after it was overcome with flood water Halloween morning.
Four swift water rescues were performed in the area near the bridge. Three cars were left stranded over night, one which was a truck was thrown onto a guardrail; another car was flipped completely over.
The Hutto area received around nine inches of rain overnight, causing four swift water rescues near the bridge. Eighty-eight residents were given instructions to evacuate. Residents of north Brushy Creek were directed to Hutto Middle School, and residents of south Brushy Creek were sent to a Pflugerville ISD campus.
