Next pretrial hearing set for Hasan
Accused Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Hasan is due in court.

The next pretrial hearing for Hasan has been set for 10 a.m. Thursday. Military Judge Colonel Gregory Gross will consider defense motions challenging the government's intent to introduce evidence about motive and premeditation.

The government is also asking to use exhibits during their opening statement.

Monday, a military appeals court said Major Nidal Hasan's murder trial will go forward, but the U.S. Court of Appeals didn't rule whether Hasan would be forcibly shaved before the trial.

Hasan's beard violates Army regulations. His attorneys say he won't shave because he's expressing his Muslim faith.

Hasan faces the death penalty if convicted in the 2009 attack that killed 13 people on the Texas Army post and injured 32.

There is no set date for the trial to begin.
