In Friday's edition of Your Sports Now, we start with the end of Texas Fall Camp.
The Longhorns wrapped up the preseason portion of camp with one final scrimmage Thursday, and now enter game week preparations, that means Friday and Saturday off, reporting back to work on Sunday for practice, and installing the game-plan for next Saturday's season opener against New Mexico State.
At this point, the Horns are more than ready to see another team on the field.
"It's different playing against your own guys, it'll be great to get out there and hit an opposing team," said Carrington Byndom.
On the soccer field, the Longhorns started their regular season off hosting the Georgia Bulldogs and bringing in a win under their new Head Coach, Angela Kelly.
"We're very well organized, we have the best goal keeper in the country, in my opinion... I think we created very well in the run of play, we're lethal off-set pieces, so we're learning and it's going to be exciting," said Coach Angela Kelly.
We also make our final stop on our tour around the Big 12 Friday, and If you've been paying attention, then you know the only place that remains, is Stillwater. Some changes for the Pokes this year: they have a new Offensive Coordinator and a new Defensive Coordinator.
"I'm really excited about our conference, I think we continue to grow, come together as a group, opportunities for great games. I think it will be a very exciting season, and I'm very proud of where we are," said Head Coach Mike Gundy.
All that plus a look at our high school preview at Rouse, Ricky Williams returning to the baseball diamond in Round Rock, and more.
