Hearing-impaired Drew Guardado is a fifth grader in Round Rock. His teacher's words used to come across as a whisper, but not anymore thanks to a generous donation.
Audiological and hearing aid company Cook Hearing and Balance donated digital hearing aids and a mini microphone to Round Rock Christian Academy.
The device works like a wireless headset, Drew will wear the hearing aids and his teacher will wear the clip on mini microphone to communicate with him.
"It was like a miracle had happened again because I was like, I can hear now. I'm probably not going to have any trouble and me, my parents noticed that my grades were starting to go up now that I have these new hearing aids," Guardado said.
The hearing devices are worth $5,000.
