In its 35th year, the
Austin-American Statesman Capitol 10K brought tens of thousands of runners to town Sunday morning.
Kicking off at 8:30 a.m., the race took runners from their starting point on the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge through downtown to the finish line at Auditorium Shores.
The fifth-largest 10K race in the nation and largest in Texas, nearly 23,000 took part in Sunday morning’s race.
And it’s all for a good cause. This year, all proceeds are going to Dell Children’s Hospital.
