Fire crews are investigating a West Austin house fire.

AFD was called to a two-story house fire in the 2200 block of Woodmont Avenue, near Mopac and Windsor Road, just before 6 a.m. Monday. When crews arrived, heavy fire was showing from the home.

Officials say residents were awakened by the sound of smoke detectors and were all able to escape safely.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire. No word yet on damage estimates.
