Even though Christmas is months away, one local group has already started its efforts to make sure every child has something to celebrate.

The 12th annual Glenn Eaddy toy drive was held Sunday. The donated toys will benefit children living with HIV and AIDS in their families.

"They may not know that their parents are HIV positive. They may not even understand it, depending on their age, or they are too afraid to talk about it because unfortunately there is still a very large stigma with people living with HIV and AIDS," Project Transitions spokesperson Elaine Holton said.

The drive also raised money for Project Transitions, a nonprofit which supports people with HIV and AIDS.
