Time Warner Cable signs multi-year deal to carry NFL Network & NFL RedZone

By: YNN Staff

NFL Network is coming to Time Warner Cable.

The deal—finalized Friday afternoon—will have the sports start arriving in homes Sunday and will be in all homes by next week's Thursday night game.

NFL Network will reportedly be available on Time Warner Cable's basic, digital tier.

The NFL RedZone channel is also part of the deal. On Sundays, it takes you from game to game whenever a team gets close to scoring. The NFL RedZone will reportedly be part of the Time Warner Cable “sports tier.”

The NFL began airing regular season games on its network six years ago and expanded from only the second half of the season to a full season this year, including Thursday night's game between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.

Time Warner Cable is the nation's second-largest cable TV provider, reaching about 12 million homes.

It's also YNN's parent company.
