Some of the world’s wealthiest will be arriving to Austin’s Formula One race by air, skipping the inevitable traffic nightmare into southeast Travis County during race weekend.

Austin Helicopter Tours began business just in time for the U.S. Grand Prix, and are already sold out for race weekend. For a hefty fee, customers will be able to avoid traffic and take in a spectacular view along the way.

"The demand will far outweigh the supply as there are far more people that want to fly in than there are seats available," Randy Riggs with Austin Helicopter Tours said.

But who has money to afford such a luxury?

"Oh, a lot of names you will recognize,” Riggs said. “I mean you can think of any corporate name that is associated with racing and they'll be here. The people that we are flying in are corporate and some are individuals, but obviously they are interested in Formula One."

However, Austin Helicopter Tours isn't banking on just flying the ultra rich around. Riggs is banking on more than half of his business coming from locals like us, and you don't even have to act like you have a big bank account up there.

"It's a nice level smooth ride,” he said. “You'll be able to bring your camera and take pictures. We narrate the tours you wear a headset."
