Austinites should gear up for the most powerful cold front so far this autumn.

Friday will stay warm with highs near 90s and 80s in the Hill Country, according to YNN meteorologists.

However, northerly winds will arrive Saturday morning, putting a high only in the 70s in Austin. Longhorns and tailgaters may even have to brave breezy winds and much cooler temperatures for the evening game against West Virginia.

YNN’s Weather Team also only expects a high of 67 Sunday, marking the first significant temperature drop of the fall season.
