Annual OctoTea benefits local HIV/AIDS relief

The Octopus Club is a nonprofit that has been raising money for people living with HIV and AIDS for more than 20 years.
The group raises dollars to donate to the Paul Kirby Emergency Fund, which helps with the living needs of local residents who have HIV and AIDS. Over the years, the nonprofit has raised almost $2 million---and they do so by throwing parties.
OctoTea is an annual fall celebration at the Mexican American Cultural Center that is a great opportunity to give back while having fun with food, dancing and complimentary drinks.
The event runs Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., but there are some pre-events already set for this week. YNN’s Rich Segal has more in the video above.
