Amid the recent news surrounding Lance Armstrong being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles over doping allegations, a panel of lawyers, journalists and athletes came together to talk about the culture of sports and cheating.

Two of the people involved in Tuesday’s discussion at the LBJ Library were Armstrong's lawyers. They tried to explain why Armstrong decided to stop fighting to clear his name.

"In Lance's particular case, we had been two years dealing with these same issues in Los Angeles at huge cost both financially and emotionally to Lance," attorney Tim Herman said.

Herman went on to say the arbitration with the anti-doping agency was "rigged." Others on the panel say a uniform code and uniform system of testing athletes is needed.
