The armed subject has not yet been found and police continue to investigate.

Earlier: Police at Texas A&M University are looking for an armed man they say was seen near the University Center Garage.

The call came out just after 4:30 p.m. and police described the subject as a white man in his late 40s with light-colored haired. They say he was seen wearing a lime-green short-sleeve shirt and jeans.

Police recommend that anyone in the vicinity to find a safe place indoors until further notice.

No evacuations have been called.
