Texas Rangers investigating body found in Dripping Springs
Authorities in Hays County now say that a body was found in the house along Ranch Road 12 in Dripping Springs after a fire last weekend.
According to Sgt. Philip Taylor with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, the body was found while crews extinguished the fire Sunday morning.
Sgt. Taylor said the cause of death is still being determined and that the suspicious nature of the death is still under investigation.
The Texas Rangers and the Hays County Fire Marshal’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
When asked earlier this week, authorities responded that they were only conducting a "fire investigation" at the scene and could not reveal any more information.
