Earlier-- Austin police are investigating what’s being called a suspicious death near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Del Valle.
Police say they responded to a check welfare call along Royster Street just after 11 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, police say they found the body of a man inside a vehicle parked at that location.
Police have not yet classified the case as a homicide.
"They don't want to classify it as of yet because they're still gathering statements and talking to people,” Sgt. David Daniels with the Austin Police Department said. “At this time, they want to wait until they conduct the autopsy and then speak to family, friends, witnesses to find out what may have happened."
A neighbor called in the body after noticing the car parked for more than a day.
The body has been sent to the Travis County Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy.
