There are angels in Austin—actually the Capital City is home to one of the largest network of angel investors in the country.
Last year, the Central Texas Angel Network contributed about $8 million to 28 different startups in the area. Colin Pope, editor of the Austin Business Journal, said that is much needed money as Austin is home to many entrepreneurs.
They say they are looking for more investors join their ranks and expect to invest even more in 2013.
