Police and firefighters investigate two small fires in Bowie High School
Authorities are working to figure out who set fires in Bowie High School Friday afternoon.
The fire department says someone started fires in two different bathrooms at about 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Firefighters made short work of the flames, and the fires never spread beyond the bathrooms, but they left behind about $5,000 worth of damage, and an arson investigation.
There was smoke throughout one wing of the school.
Bowie is at 4103 Slaughter Lane in south Austin.
