The Education Corporation of America has $8 million invested in the EcoTech Institute, a new renewable-energy-focused technical college in Northwest Austin off Interstate-35.
The only problem is the college hasn’t opened yet.
The Austin Business Journal got a hold of the Education Corporation of America, which indicated it’s having some financial issues.
The company said it is committed to Austin, but had to bump back the opening date for the college to 2014.
