Hail pelts North Austin area
Many residents in the North Austin area woke to the sounds of hail and thunder as a severe storm moved through the area early Wednesday morning.
Our meteorologists say most of the reported hail was pea-sized, though a few areas got substantially larger hail. The stormed passed through from about 2 to 4 a.m.
The latest radar loop indicates the storm is moving to the southeast, leaving a day with partly sunny skies and a high temperature in the low 70s. For more on the forecast, visit our weather page.
