A day after the Senate budget bill passed with overwhelming support, a group of House lawmakers took another step forward in the process. The House Appropriations Committee unanimously passed its $193.8 billion spending plan.

A New Candidate

While Governor Perry waits until after the legislative session to announce whether or not he'll run for re-election, one of his former appointees isn't waiting to make an announcement.
