As ACL continues, it's all about the music across the dozens of acres in Zilker Park, but the key to enjoying the festival is preparation.

Aven Ford and his friends have attended the festival for several years and think they've got packing down to a science.

"You bring water and hats, lots of hats," Ford said.

But hats won’t help you remember the experience. For that, attendee Doyle Lane brings a video camera.

"We film on the way down, getting the wristband put on. It's very very detailed," he said.

Over the festival's 10-year run, weather has been an important factor in audience enjoyment.

"We got the rain jackets crumpled up in the bottom here and then you got an umbrella as well,” Lane said.

Saturday brought the second day of showers to the festival but Cassie Miller and Jennifer Presor did not let it stop them from making the most of their weekend.

"We just really wanted something that would be fun, because this weekend is all about fun," Prestor said.
