There's a hefty price tag on the Austin Independent School District's 2013 bond package, and there is a long list of capital improvements that have to get accomplished.

The package will bring additional classrooms to some schools, including Blazier, Cook, Doss, Perez and Pillow elementary schools. Burnet and Murchison middle schools are also on the list.

The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders could get funding for a fine arts addition, and Anderson High School could get an athletics addition.

The bond package also calls for four new elementary schools and a new high school in South Austin.

The AISD board will vote on the bond package at the Feb. 25 meeting.

You can find out more information at a public hearing Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Crockett High School. There is another one Jan. 29 at Reagan High School.

Voters will see it on the ballot May 2013. Click here for more information.

Also, the Austin ISD Board isn't only talking about a massive bond package at Monday night's meeting.

At the last minute, the board added a item to discuss the future of the district's relationship with the IDEA charter system.

Back in December, the board voted to terminate their partnership with the charter school that ran two East Austin campuses at the end of the school year.

The executive session on the issue will be held behind closed doors. The board's agenda says they plan to discuss any sort of litigation or settlement offers that might have arisen out of the ordeal.

YNN will of course have a crew at tonight's meeting, and will bring you all the details.
